My Journey to Living Wholistically: From Personal Healing to Empowering Others

It started with an eager desire to learn about wholefoods and natural health — a business was never the end goal. My goal was to create a solid foundation of health for myself and my future family, setting the stage for a healthy pregnancy and birth.
In 2012, I enrolled in a wholefoods nutrition course. Each new discovery felt like another puzzle piece falling into place — wholefoods, low-tox living, natural remedies. I was healing chronic UTIs, gaining energy, and feeling more vibrant than I had in years. I even conceived easily for my first pregnancy.

Until the birth.
The birth of my first child in 2014 was a pivotal moment in my healing journey — though not in the way I expected. After a smooth and healthy pregnancy, my waters broke unexpectedly two weeks early following the emotional stress of my grandfather’s sudden passing. Labour began quickly, and we headed to the hospital, feeling excited and hopeful.
What followed was a deeply disempowering experience. The midwife on call was dismissive and forceful, undermining my instincts and disregarding my voice. At one point, she performed an episiotomy without my consent and without adequate pain relief. In that moment, I felt invisible, powerless, and completely disconnected from my body. I don’t even clearly remember my son’s birth — I had momentarily left myself, overwhelmed by pain and stripped of agency.
Thankfully, when my son was placed on my chest and latched for his first feed, a sense of calm returned. That moment reminded me of the body’s innate intelligence — even after trauma, it knows how to move toward healing.
In the months that followed, I felt immense anger and grief. Not only at the system that had failed me, but at myself and my husband for feeling so powerless in the room. But in time, I realised this experience had planted a seed of transformation.
Rather than lingering in bitterness, I became fiercely committed to trusting my body, reclaiming my intuition, and stepping into my power as a woman. The experience taught me that while medical professionals offer valuable expertise, the ultimate authority over my body is me. It deepened my belief in the body’s ability to birth, heal, and thrive when given the respect and trust it deserves.
This experience was the catalyst that pushed me to explore holistic healing further. It wasn’t about rejecting the medical system entirely, but about finding balance—using their knowledge as a resource while staying anchored in my own inner wisdom.
That was the beginning of Living Wholistically — long before the business ever existed.
I left my teaching career and pursued work in a wholefoods business, making activated nuts, nourishing broths, and liver pâtés. It was there that I began to expand my knowledge base and also want to help other women reclaim their power, trust their intuition, and live vibrant, authentic lives.
So I formally studied naturopathy; deepening my knowledge of herbal medicine, nutrition, and natural health. But even then, something was missing.
I had changed everything — food, lifestyle, environment — and yet some emotional patterns remained stuck. I knew I wanted another baby, but I couldn't fathom the though of going through the same experience of birth. That’s when I discovered Emotion Release Technique (ERT) in 2017 to help process my birth trauma. Working with a practitioner changed everything. It allowed me to access and release emotions I hadn’t even realised were still stored in my body. The shifts were profound.
From then on, emotional healing became as foundational as food and herbs. I continued to use ERT as I prepared for my second birth — a powerful, unassisted home birth that truly restored my self-trust.

After that birth, my path became clear.
We moved to a rural property in NSW to embrace a vision to live regeneratively, cultivate the land, and align our lives with nature’s rhythms.
When the opportunity to become certified in ERT came in 2020, I didn’t hesitate. I knew firsthand the transformative power of this work, and I was ready to guide others in releasing emotional wounds and reclaiming their health. With this certification, I was able to seamlessly integrate emotional healing into my practice, blending it with the physical health knowledge I’d gathered over the years. And it has become the cornerstone of my client practice and personal healing approach.
Since then, I’ve supported hundreds of women through 1:1 ERT sessions and ongoing emotional support through my membership. I also launched my signature 12-month program, Nourishment Gateway — a space for women ready to fully reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and step into deep, self-led healing.
In 2022, I free-birthed our third child here on the farm — a full-circle moment that affirmed everything I believe: our bodies are wise, our emotions matter, and the answers are already within us.

This journey has been about so much more than studying health — it’s been about living it. From city kitchens to farm life, from emotional overwhelm to embodied self-trust, I’ve walked the path I now guide others on. And it is now my privilege to witness my clients’ transformations and to walk this path of growth alongside them, continually learning and evolving as we go.

A gentle reflection to leave you with:
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve done all the things but still feel stuck — you're not alone. Healing is rarely linear. It’s layered, lived, and deeply personal.
What if nothing is wrong with you — you're just ready for a new way?
I’m so glad you’re here.
Let’s walk this together.
